About LoCo Lab
Where creativity, sustainability, and humanity converge. We build the tools, tell the stories, and create the connections that help people and communities thrive.
Our vision
Preserving the Human Experience
Technology is moving faster than ever, and artificial intelligence can now write, draw, and decide in ways that once belonged only to people. That makes this a moment to be intentional. Preserving the Human Experience is our commitment to keep digital tools in service of real life: the farmer in the field, the artist in the studio, and the neighbors who gather to see what they’ve made. We build technology that points people back toward each other, carrying their work and their stories to the people who will care about them. We believe that when tools are made this way, they can bring more life and more goodness into the world, and that future is worth building.

Our story
How a verification platform became a company built around people.
Step 1: Where we started: Farmer first
LoCo Lab began the human way: with farmers, in their fields, asking one question: how do we prove farmer-led land stewardship? Farmers have cared for their soil for generations, yet almost none of that care is visible or rewarded. As a solution we built Farmer Forward Verify: conservation practices verified by the farmer field-by-field, documented year-over-year on a blockchain record, which provides program certificates and farmer websites. For the first time, a farmer’s stewardship can be seen, trusted and valued.
Step 2: What we learned: Proof needed a story
We quickly learned that verified data alone does not build connections. Consumers and partners want to engage with the people behind the farm: the families who implement conservation practices, manage distinct farm operations and sustain a multigenerational commitment to the land. To bring those stories forward, we began producing video, photography, and dedicated farm websites that showcase this work and help consumers understand how these practices restore soil health, protect natural resources, and build a more resilient food system.
Step 3: What we found: A familiar story
Our founder spent over fifteen years in film, tech, and entertainment, and the farmers' story sounded familiar. Creators produce the work that everyone values. However, they keep the smallest share. A farmer keeps less than 12 cents of every food dollar, and a musician earns fractions of a cent per stream. Different industries, same story: the people who make the work see the least of its value.
Step 4: Where we are at: Human at the source
That’s why LoCo Lab exists: to preserve and enhance the human experience by uniting makers and the communities that support them. Together, makers are stronger, more visible and better rewarded, and audiences gain a real stake in the food and stories around them. Farmer Forward unites farmers around proven stewardship. Colorado Creators is next, bringing Colorado’s creators, organizations, and businesses together as one creative community.
